The Rise of Trailer

3000Okay, so the title for this column isn’t the best, but it’s gotta fit in with the newly announced title to the final episode in the Star Wars saga: The Rise of Skywalker. Like The Last Jedi, there’s a whole lot to unpack in those four words, and since JJ Abrams and the cast of the movie aren’t going to spoil it for us, we’re just gonna have to get ourselves all worked up trying to figure out just what the hell it means. A Great Disturbance In The Force

star-wars-9-colin-trevorrow-825461The latest hit against Lucasfilm came last week: Colin Treverrow will no longer be directing Star Wars Episode IX. While this news comes as a welcome sign for Star Wars fans that weren’t fans of Jurassic World (a film that, for the record, I thought was pretty fun), it puts a weird light on Lucasfilm, especially after the whole Han Solo debacle with Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
