Comic Reviews: Justice League/Power Rangers and All-New Wolverine!

DC Comics have become the go-to publisher for intercompany crossovers lately. From the Green Lantern Corps meeting the crew of the Enterprise to Batman and the Ninja Turtles teaming up, DC has done some pretty wild crossovers the past few years. But none are as wild as Justice League/Power Rangers, which features, well, the Justice League teaming up with the Power Rangers. This is one crossover that could be really dumb, but after checking out the first issue, I can easily say that so far the Tom Taylor and Stephen Byrne crossover is one hell of an awesome ride.  1872 has been one of the stranger Secret Wars tie-ins, but it’s also one of the ones with the most charm too. Seeing Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and other Marvel mainstays through the prism of the old West has been really interesting, and Gerry Duggan’s script has had a lot of fun playing in this world. While 1872 has seemed like it’s been on the outskirts of Marvel’s massive event, with this issue it’s starting to show that it may have a larger role in the future of the Marvel universe than we originally thought.
