But for longtime fans of the MCU, and even more for fans of the character, the latest Spidey adventure is a can’t miss installment of the long running saga for Marvel’s heroes, and the answer to many of your lingering Endgame questions. We’ve got a new look at Spider-Man: Far From Home in the latest trailer, but one of the biggest revelations isn’t just how the MCU has moved on from the heroic sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame. No, it’s the fact that Jake Gyllenhaal’s Quentin Beck (aka Mysterio) is apparently from an alternate Earth. According to the exposition from Nick Fury, Thanos’ “snap”, or one of the other ones, caused a few portals to open in the MCU, causing Beck and the Elemental creatures he and Spidey will fight to arrive on our Earth. It’s an interesting spin to the Mysterio character, and could pave the way for the X-Men and the Fantastic Four to make their way into the MCU proper.

Rumors are flying that Norman Osborne has been cast for the Sony/Marvel Spider-Man reboot, and the name being thrown around is one that I never even conceived of in my nerd brain: Matthew McConaughey. Now, as I excited as I am to get Norman Osborne cast in the new Spider-Man film, we’ve already seen him twice. I don’t think Marvel and Sony will bring out the Green Goblin AGAIN, but will probably tease Osborne’s transformation over the course of the new Spidey films. So, with Osborne serving as the shadow villain in my nerd brain, Spidey’s going to have to punch somebody.
