My thoughts on the Star Wars prequels are….complicated. So when Obi-Wan and Anakin, the latest Marvel Star Wars miniseries was announced, I was hesitant. However, once I saw that Lando writer Charles Soule and Shattered Empire artist Marco Checchetto were on the book, my interest went up considerably. Best of 2015!

daredevil-posterAlright, the crap has been sorted through, and now it’s clear sailing to get onto the best nerd stuff of 2015! This year saw some pretty great things hit our comic stands, movie theaters, and TV’s, and it was pretty hard to narrow this bad boy down to a manageable list. New York Comic Con Wrap Up!

From Dark Horse announcing comics based on James Cameron’s Avatar to Mark Hamill returning to the The Flash, there were a lot of really cool announcements for both comics and comic book based media.  Since they’ve received the license, Marvel has wasted no time in publishing Star Wars comics. After the stellar releases of the main title and the Darth Vader spin-off, we now welcome the lovely Princess Leia Organa (Skywalker) to our comic shelves. Written by comics legend Mark Waid and drawn by Terry Dodsen, Princess Leia is the third Star Wars spin off, and unfortunately it doesn’t quite live up to the hype that Star Wars and Darth Vader have given it. Comic Con 2014 Wrap Up!

comic-con_logoAnother San Diego Comic Con has come and gone, and with it comes a whole slew of announcements both movie and comics related. This year, I was surprised to see that a lot of things I was expecting to happen (WB revealing the cast of the Justice League, or Marvel telling us the actor that will become Doctor Strange) didn’t happen at all.
