Part of Marvel’s “Legacy” rebranding is a chance to go back to the classic numbering for a majority of their titles, and lucky for them The Mighty Thor was at issue 700. With that comes the start of Jason Aaron’s “The Death Of The Mighty Thor”, which is a pretty ominous title for a lot of reasons. Will this storyline kill off the Jane Foster Thor, who’s been the welder of Mjolnir for the past few years now? Or will Thor Odinson go down? OR will all of the Thors featured in this issue, from Jane Foster to Odinson to War Thor, go down in flames? Finally, Miles Morales joins the main Marvel Universe. It’s a move that’s been on fans of the star of Ultimate Comics Spider-Man’s minds since he first made his debut, and now that Secret Wars is over, Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli are able to have Miles join the Avengers, Inhumans, and the OTHER Spider-Man in the all new all different Marvel Universe. While it doesn’t answer all of your questions, Spider-Man #1 still serves as an action-packed, if light, adventure for Marvel Prime’s newest hero. Read the rest of this entry

Strange Times Ahead For Marvel

allnewalldifferentmarvel-138579We’ve all been waiting for Marvel to announce their books post-Secret Wars, and now with the release of the All-New All-Different Marvel preview book, we’ve gotten a look at some of the new titles coming our way this fall. And boy, Marvel sure is living up to the All-Different part of the initiative. From a Howling Commandos book to a series starring Carnage, there’s lots of new offbeat series to come.
