If DC is known for one thing, it’s their multiverse. From comics to the live action series on CW, the DC Comics Multiverse is a well-known and well-trodden territory for many creative teams, but now it’s time for something a little different. We’ve seen plenty of versions of the DC superheroes and villains pop up in different multiverse tales, but what about a cartoon series, like, well…Masters of The Universe? It’s a weird premise for sure, but Tim Seely and Dan Fraga’s new miniseries He-Man and The Masters of the Multiverse is a big love letter to world of Eternia, and it’s a pretty fun read to boot. The War of the Realms continues on, and this time we’re getting a new batch of Avengers to make sure Midgard doesn’t go to hell thanks to Malekith. War of the Realms: Strikeforce: War Avengers, the latest one-shot tie in from Dennis Hopeless, Kim Jacinto, and Ario Anindito may not be an essential read for the overall story, but is plenty entertaining nonetheless. Two issues in and it’s safe to say, the reboot of Archie works. After a great reintroduction to Archie and the citizens of Riverdale, Mark Waid and Fiona Staples’ second issue puts most of the focus on Betty Cooper, who’s taking her break up with Archie just as well as he is.
